'Beginning with a kiss' is a new edition by Cecilia Fiona, produced with Edition Copenhagen. These are Fiona's first ever lithographs. The process of creating these original lithographs involves the artist creating a composition directly onto a slab of limestone which is then used for the prints, which are produced by the artist themselves alonside expert printmakers. The Velin d'Arches paper used is acid free and produced from cotton, which has a special structure that absorbs the printing colour and does not yellow or age as quickly as regular paper. Edition Copenhagen has been working directly with artists to produce original lithographs since 1959, and has built a reputation as one of the leading lithographic workshops in the world.
