Two artworks by Kara Chin have been acquired into the Arts Council Collection. Chin's ceramic tile 'Kung Fu Skeletons' (2023) and an edition of 'Awakening Ceremony' (2021), which is her most ambitious animation to date, are now part of the collection.
The Arts Council Collection acquires work by British artists at an early or critical stage of their careers. Chin's practice spans across animation, ceramic, and installation work to inquire into the implications of fast evolving technologies, such as its ethical conundrums and potential consequences of developing robotics and artificial intelligence within the present and future.
