VITRINE represents Mamali Shafahi

Mamali Shafahi (b.1982, Tehran, IR) is an Iranian filmmaker and artist investigating the impact of emerging technologies on life and art. Working between film, installation, sculpture and VR, Shafahi is interested in how technologies such as the internet, smart phones and VR, have transformed everything, whether its relationships between friends and families, or our relationship to the world itself, its images, objects and inhabitants. Within this, he seeks to build bridges between the past and the future, specifically generations and cultures, but also between techniques and materials.
